It is a Chinese herb, known to boost the immune system, and stimulate the body’s natural production of interferons – a group of proteins that alerts nearby cells when a cell gets infected, to heighten their defenses.
Berberis family (eg. Berberis vulgaris)
Included in this genus are the European barberry, and American barberry. Studies have shown these herbs to fight cancer, especially ovarian cancer.
Bloodwort | Redroot (Sanguinaria canadensis)

Chaparaal (Larrea mexicana)
An ingredient of Black Salve, it boosts the immune system, reduce tumour size, and stop metastases. It has low toxicity, and it has helped against breast cancer. It is also anti-oxidant and anti-microbial.
Curcumin longa (Turmeric)
You must have already heard about this spice being used in food. Scientifically known as Curcuma longa, or turmeric root. It has shown to be significantly anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory. It is used to treat polyps and colon cancer. A new research has shown it to have the ability to shrink and inhibt the blood supply growth to cancer tumours. Aside from it having powerful anti-oxidant activity, it protects the liver and outperforms several anti-inflammatory drugs, sans the side effects.
Dang Shen Root (Codonopsis pilosula)
It increases the white and red blood cell levels, extremely helpful to patients who are undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy, or those whose cancers diminish these levels.
Echinacea (Echinacea angustifolia)More popularly known to treat colds, it has shown to increase the levels of certain white cells in the body, and has greatly helped against brain tumours.
Reishi Mushrooms (Ganoderma spp.)
Reishi mushrooms are one of the most researched herbs for an effective natural cancer immune stimulating treatment and are one of the most researched herbs to fight cancer naturally. They was shown to be more effective than the pharmaceutical treatments in some cancer studies in killing cancer cells.
Goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis)
Used in the Caribbean and South East Asia to help fight parasites, it can kill the bacterium that contribute to stomach cancer, Helicobacter pylori, when taken alongside Bismuth. This bacteria burrows into the mucus lining of the stomach, hiding from gastric acids and causing irritation, acid reflux, ulcers, and cancer.
Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum)
Known largely to be strengthen the liver, and protects the liver during chemotherapy. Patients who took milk thistle had reduced liver toxicity and chemotherapy side effects.
It is a tree bark that is strongly anti-bacterial, anti-yeast, and anti-microbial. Seen helpful against blood and lymph cancers.
